２００９年にKochi語彙研究プロジェクト会が発足して以来、２年間の研究を経て、２０１１年７月に高知県の中学生に必要な英単語１２００語をリスト化した『高知県中学生必須英語語彙リスト』（中英単Version-01）が完成し、全公立中学校教員への配付が実現しました。さらに、２０１２年３月、Kochi語彙研究プロジェクト会の皆さんのご理解、ご協力を得て、高知県教育委員会が「中英単version.01」を拠り所とした英単語学習教材『中学校でこれだけは身に付けてほしい基礎英単語１２００【KORETAN1200】』を作成し、県内の全ての公立中学生に教員用手引きとともに配付しました。
KORETAN1200は、中英単Version-01と掲載語の1200語は共通していますが、生徒が家庭学習や自主学習等の時間に、繰り返し定着度を自己診断しながら使い、基礎英単語１２００語の完全定着を図るように仕組まれています。中学校の先生方には、ぜひとも積極的に活用していただき、生徒の皆さんの英語力の向上に役立てていただければと思います。
なお、KORETAN1200は、平成２４年４月５日（木）から高知県教育委員会事務局・高等学校課のホームページからダウンロードできます。
