　高知大学教育学部の谷口雅基教授が高知県の英語教員
を対象にして、英語音声学の勉強会を月１回開かれます。
第１回は９月３０日（水）ですが、現在、講座への参加者を
募集中です。毎回参加できないという方も、是非、ご連絡くだ
さい。

This message is to announce an upcoming event sponsored by East Shikoku JALT (Japan Association of Language Teachers). Apologies for such late notice but we would love to have you come and enjoy this unique film. It promises to be a very alternative style JALT meeting!

Speaker: Linda Ohama, Japanese-Canadian film director,
Date/Time/Place: 19th September, 7:00 p.m., LL room, Kochi Women's University
Presentation: A Screening of the Documentary Film 'Obachan's Garden'

Profile:
Today, Linda resides in Vancouver, Canada and continues to produce films, write, paint, design gardens, enjoy her family and explore her deep connection to Japan. She currently sits as a board member with Chibi Taiko Society, Vancouver and the
Canadian Independent Film and Video Fund in Ottawa, after recently sitting on the British Columbia Arts Council Board.

*For those of you with small children, we may be able to arrange a student baby sitter/story book reader in another classroom. Let me know if you would need this.

*JALT Members: free
*One-day members: 500 yen
