TED(Technology, Entertainment, Design)とは、1984に始まった会議で、この３分野の第一線の研究者や活動家たちを集めて開催されています。この会議で、発表者は（なぜか）「１８分間」のプレゼンテーションを行うことになっています。この長さのおかげで、内容が凝縮され、結晶化されて、濃密なプレゼンになっているように感じます。さらに、すごいことに、これらは、すべてfree(無料）で見ることができ、再配布も自由です。これは、TEDの掲げる次のようなMissionによるのでしょう。

So we're building here a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world's most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other. すばらしいプレゼンテーション、深い内容なのに分かりやすい英語。お奨めです。ぜひ、一度、みてください。自己啓発の場としても有用だと思いますが、我々としては、英語教育の中での活用方法も考えていきたいですね。
Wikidpediaもしかり。はてな、OKWeb、Yahoo!知恵袋、NAVER 知識plus、教えて！gooなどの質問サイトも数多くあります。「知の共有化」という方向性はこれからの教育の在り方をも変えてしまうかもしれません。
